Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital (MPUH) was the dream of Dr. Virendra Desai, brought to life through the efforts of philanthropist and industrialist Jayaramdas Patel and the steadfast support of humanitarians Ochhavlal Parikh and Prahlad Patel. With a noble intention of giving back to society, they established India's first super-speciality kidney hospital in the small town of Nadiad, Gujarat.
MPUH is a not-for-profit academic medical centre, registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act 1950, dedicated to cutting-edge clinical care, education, and research. Located in Nadiad, just an hour's distance from Ahmedabad and Vadodara, our hospital stands as a beacon of hope and healing. The 160-bed facility includes six operation theatres, 44 dialysis stations, and departments for urology, nephrology, anesthesiology, radiology, and pathology, along with a modern clinical laboratory and blood bank.
Our state-of-the-art teaching and training centre, the Jayaramdas Patel Academic Centre (JPAC), imparts the latest knowledge in nephrology to practitioners and students. For over 46 years, MPUH has maintained an unwavering commitment to excellence, providing world-class healthcare to every individual, regardless of their financial means.
Our Center of Excellence addresses various kidney diseases, from routine cases to complex conditions, embracing technological advancements in Endourology, Laparoscopy, and Robotic techniques to ensure optimal patient care. Our mission is simple yet profound: no patient should be denied treatment due to financial constraints.
Beyond delivering cutting-edge treatments, MPUH serves as a hub for education and research, pioneering modern approaches to kidney disease management. Recognized for our dedication, we have earned several accolades, including ISO-9001:2008 certification.
