High varicocele ligation

What is it?

This should be renamed as "Microsurgical Varicocele ligation”. A varicocele is a dilatation of the veins of the testes. This results in slowing of the blood flow and congestion around the testes, thus affecting testicular function and lowering low sperm counts.

How it is done?

Treatment of the varicocele is best done by microsurgery which allows all the
abnormal veins to be identified and removed, while preserving theartery and lymphatics.
