Nadiad
Nadiad is one of the most important towns in the Kheda district of Gujarat. It is located on the National Highway No. 8 and hence, is enroute to major cities and accessible through various means of road transport. Nadiad is an important railway junction with rail connections to any part of the country. It is situated between Vadodara and Ahmedabad cities, both of which are very well-connected by air, road and railways. Reaching Nadiad is extremely easy from either of these centres.
The Nadiad Railway and Bus Stations are located next to each other where auto rickshaws (three wheelers) and taxies are available in abundance. MPUH is only 2 kms away from these stations. Almost all super fast trains like Shatabdi and Karnavati stop at Nadiad. Nadiad is an overnight train journey from Bombay and Delhi.
One of the oldest textile industries New Shorock Mills has its operations in this town.
the past ten years, Nadiad has made developments in almost all areas viz. transport and hospitality, telecommunications, education, health-care, etc.
