The dancing moment

She caught my eye as I walked into the departure hall of the Ahmedabad airport. Dressed in a neat and simple kurta pyjama, grey-haired and small-built, she could have been any of the women travelling with their families. What made me look again was her shoes—no-nonsense sports shoes. I looked at her face again, searching for signs of NRI status—the only kind who wears sports shoes with Indian clothes, saris included. No, she certainly did not look like it.

Robotic-assisted surgery at MPUH, Nadiad
The Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital (MPUH) in Nadiad has become the first hospital in Gujarat to acquire the latest state-of-the-art robotic surgical system. The robot operated by doctors will be used for surgeries on patients suffering from cancer of the kidneys, bladder and the prostrate.

US Urological association to help build education cell
VADODARA: Aspiring urologists in the country will now get a global advantage with American Urological Association (AUA) helping Urological Society of India (USI) to set up an education cell. This was shared by Dr Gopal Badlani, first Indian appointed as the secretary general of the prestigious AUA during his visit to Jayaramdas Patel Academic Centre (JPAC) in Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital (MPUH) in Nadiad.

MPUH to hold laparoscopy surgery demo
VADODARA: With the view to educate urologists on latest global medical practices in laparoscopy in urological surgeries, a three-day lecture-cum-live surgical demonstration instruction course will be conducted by Jayaramdas Patel Academic Centre (JPAC) at the Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital (MPUH) in Nadiad. This course starting from Thursday is also a platform to orient doctors on robotic surgeries.

Insight about urological disease at MPUH, Nadiad
Internationally renowned doctors are laying emphasis on creating awareness to curb high risk areas such as urological diseases due to old-age and the tropical weather in the country. Latest innovations and technology in urology were discussed at a recently held symposium at the Maljibhai Desai Urological hospital (MPUH) in Nadiad in the presence of experts from across the world. MPUH has started a separate uro-oncology department.
