American Urological Association (AUA) Segura International Urolithiasis Course. It is the first time ever that the AUA Segura Course is conducted outside the USA.

MPUH Nadiad is organising a two-day workshop 'ISN-MPUH Regional workshop on “Infections in Renal Transplant Recipients” - 16-17 Feb 2013', being attended by large number of Nephrologists from India and abroad. The following topics will be covered in the workshop:

Day 1 :

- Bacterial Infection (Chairperson: Dr Vivek Jha)

- Fungal Infection (Chairperson: Dr. Gopesh Modi)

- Viral Infection (Chairperson: Dr. G T John)

- Hepatotropic Virus (Chairperson: Dr Prashant Pargaonkar)

Day 2:

- Tuberculosis (Chairperson: Dr. Dharmesh Patel)

MPUH is organizing the inaugural AUA Segura International Urolithiasis Conference at the Jayaramdas Patel Academic Centre (JPAC), Nadiad, during February 21-23, 2013. This is the first time that such an AUA educational programme is being held outside of North America, and the name 'Joe Segura' has a speical meaning for those in the Endo world.

Cadaver Transplantation at MPUH Nadiad

This year, the department of organ transplantation, MPUH has successfully carried out 6 cadaveric (Deceased) organ transplantations. We have retrieved twelve kidneys, twelve eyes and four livers from deceased donors. Out of them ten renal transplantations were done at MPUH and rest of the organs were shared with the Institute of Kidney Diseases & Research Centre (IKDRC), Ahmedabad. Eyes were donated to local Eye Bank.
